About the Author:

This site was created in the summer of 2002 for a graduate level class in NYU's Educational Communication and Technology department called Instructional Design for the World Wide Web. http://www.nyu.edu/education/alt/ectprogram/

From 1998 to 2000, the author lived in a small village near Dschang in Cameroon where she worked as a US Peace Corps Volunteer. She attended many Bamiléké Funerals during this time.
